Back on the waveboard at last. More classic summer "sea-breeze" conditions coincided with my Thursday afternoon off work and a WSW direction so sailed Hove after having waited patiently for the tide to drop. I wasn't expecting much from the session but once I'd recalibrated my waveometer to the shingly dial I started to really have a lot of fun with the mushy windswell allowing plentiful jumps and slow-motion rides. Most of the fellow slackers out there were on 4.2-4.7 but I decided to rig big and scored. Plenty of ooomph to plane off the beach through the rip and not once was I at all overpowered. The new mast really helped wow what a stonking piece of kit. And I love my RRD. :)

Mmmm good session.
